If you're looking for an experience in nature, but camping is not your thing, get all the luxury of home and the healthy advantages of the country. Turkeys and deer wander the property and wolves can be heard howling in the distance at night. Situated on four acres of land at the end of a gravel road and behind its own private gate, is a 4,000 square foot retreat. Designed like a European villa, around a center courtyard, the property has a main house and a guest's quarters.
Decks and patios surround the house, each with their own framed views. Even though it is remote, the property has all the modern conveniences such as forced air heat, a huge hot water heater, copper plumbing and each room is carpeted with cozy Berber, ensuring you will never feel uncomfortable or cold.
The living room faces a wood burning fireplace and large windows with views of the valley and forest beyond. The dining room is large and easily seats eight at an enormous arts-and-crafts dining table. The kitchen is large enough to host family reunions, holiday celebrations or even a small wedding. The appliances are quality, including LG refrigerator, Amana dishwasher, corian countertops, prep sink and kitchen sink, glass-fronted cabinets and a center island with seating all around so your guests can watch the chef create. French doors lead to a deck and to a second dining table which also seats eight. This deck has a barbeque grill and an outdoor misting system for those hot summer days.
Off the dining room there is a master bedroom suite which is comprised of three rooms. The bedroom is enormous with a King bed, a wall of closets and built-in dresser. Just off the master is a room that can be used as an artist's studio or a yoga, meditation room. The master bath includes jet tub, a two-person shower and two sinks. It also has its own private deck with a pergola, chairs and a framed view. This level has an entertaining half bath, pantry and laundry.
From the front entry, descend the stairs to the game room. There is a professional foosball table, adult darts and children's darts. There is a bar for the adults and a game table, perfect for cards, board games or art projects. There are two more bedrooms on this level with large closets and sliding doors in each. One is the "Finding Nemo," room which sleeps three, in a tree trunk bunk bed. The other has a craftsman-style king bed.
Across the apple-tree-filled courtyard, is a handsome guest's quarters. It has its own king bed, dresser, TV and DVD player, walk-through closet and ¾ bath.
There are hiking trails and paved roads around the property. Allow us to suggest a driving tour around the area.
