ALOHA.
THANX FOR VIEWING MY HOME IN KAPOHO HAWAII. FOR QUICK INSIGHT PLEASE GO TO MY WEBSITE AT http://www.kapoho-kahonua-hale.com or view my home on http://www.vrbo.com. type in #428668.
My name is Darryl Sparky Herzon and you can call me anytime, well most anytime, at 661-944-5044 or my cell phone at 661-609-0127. I live up here in Palmdale, so I'm very close.
I discovered Kapoho back in 2000. Working on the TV show 24, our special effects operators told me about this amazing ocean side community, that they grew up in.
The Kapoho tidepools, otherwise known as the Wai Opea Marine Wild Life Preserve, is home to the most incredible ocean tidepools, one could ever imagine. Now becoming world famous, we still are a small ocean village that is 80% residential and 20% Vacation rental.
So, when you visit our community, which we call Vacation Land, you'll always find the spirit of Aloha.
Our home is 500 feet from the ocean and just a four or five minute WALK to the greatest snorkeling adventures you'll find on any Island. Below you see an aerial view of the reserve. Imagine that many of these pools area as deep as 30+ feet, or as shallow as 5 feet. For the kids. All are absolutely loaded with beautiful Marine Corals of all shapes, colors and sizes, as they line the bottoms of the tidepools, growing up the side walls.
These pools are loaded with all kinds of varieties of tropical fish, eels, octopus and yes, the kids may even get to swim along side of Green Sea Turtles. From December through April, Which I can now a test to, because for the first time, I witnessed this amazing event, you'll be able to view whales as they splash and play just outside the tidepools. This was amazing. Spinner dolphins can be viewed at the Kehena black sand beach, just 15 minutes from our home.
The amazing on-going lava flows of the Pu U O O crater can be seen just 30 minutes up the RED ROAD of Puna. Highway 137. Or visit Kalapana Black sand beach, again just a short incredible 25 minute drive along side our Highway 137 with it's tropical rain forest, umbrella covered coast line drives.
I'm telling you that there's no place like Kapoho.
If you'd like to speak with past guests, I'll also be more than happy to give out some phone numbers and email addresses. And again, if my home is not available, I'll be happy to refer you to friends in our community that also rent out their homes.
Kapoho is an unknown undiscovered by most, tropical paradise. It's been said to me, by friends on Maui, that our community is the Hanna of Maui without the long long drive and heavy traffic.
The Big Island offers adventures such as the Observatory on Moana Kea, this is most incredible. The Hamakua Coast line with Akaka falls, tropical lush rain forests, water falls, etc. is just a sight to behold.
So if you've looking to come to an Island that is less expensive, just as incredible as any, call me. I'm happy to share my knowledge with you and guide you to an incredible Hawaiian Vacation you won't forget.
Aloha and Mahalo
