Vacation home on the Acadia Nat. Park Loop @ Schoodic Point (Schoodic Point) 3bd

3 bedroom, 2 bath home. The oldest remaining home on Schoodic Point. The home has a warmth & serenity that is difficult to put into words. Except for all the modern conveniences it feels like my Great-Grandmothers house once felt. Even though we love staying here ourselves it's easier to let our guests comments speak for it. Anyway there are shops and businesses to wander through, a 9 hole golf course with views of the ocean from every holes and you can rent kayaks and bikes. There are allot of places to buy your dinner but when you are in the mood for lobsters you are in luck because just a few doors down is Bob's. His sons bring them in to him daily so they can't be much fresher and it's even sweeter that he's usually the cheapest place around. Located right on the park loop. In the summer there is a free bus service that goes by every hour and tours the park and peninsula. So just stand out at the road and wave. They'll be glad to pick you up. Or better yet hop on your bikes and tour the park. It's a fantastic trip. We have one of the most beautiful rocky stretches of coastline in the whole state or for that matter the country and we've personally had many artists vacation with us over the years that all keep repeating the same thing "the area is an artists dream come true". I could go on but I met someone at the docks last year from NJ and he summed it up better than I can "its like being in heaven". Although this home is not waterfront both the ocean and the park are just down the road.
