Aloha! We are owners of a ground floor, direct oceanfront 1 bed/1 ba corner end unit in beautiful West Maui (Kahana Reef complex). This is an elegant upgraded unit in a very quiet, friendly and laid-back complex of only 88 units and less than 40 feet to the waters' edge and spectacular unobstructed panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean's Auau Channel between Maui and the islands of Molokai and Lanai. Our complex fronts an elevated seawall with an adjacent protected sandy beach north of the property. We are located just 5 mins north of Kaanapali, and 10-15 mins. north of Lahaina Town. West Maui is known for its cool trade winds (air conditioning not a necessity), calm drier climate, and its gorgeous sunsets. In winter months you can watch (and often hear!) an incredible display of humpback whales who migrate to Maui and stay to breed from Nov - April. You can also observe and enjoy green sea turtles year round, spinner dolphins, surfers, boaters and kayakers. Every day you can look out at the ocean and be amazed. Ours is a convenient ground level corner unit which offers more square footage (661 sq. ft) and spaciousness than most of the other units in the complex. The unit is modern, clean and very well-appointed. Sub-Zero fridge, comfy Sealy Posturepedic Cal-King bed, cooling ceiling fans, 32" flat screen TVs, well-equipped kitchen, and tons of storage. There is an expansive lawn area with lounge chairs for you to relax in the sun or shade, a pool on the complex, or else an uncrowded sandy swimming beach adjacent to the property, accessible from the complex grounds (no need to drive!). There are 2 gas BBQs and a laundry facility on the complex premises located conveniently close to the unit. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, and meticulously cared for and maintained. Everything you need or want for a relaxing vacation home away from home is here! Being on the ground floor has many conveniences and advantages. You can just open your patio doors to stroll out onto the grassy lawn overlooking the ocean and enjoy the view, sit back on your private patio, or spend time relaxing on the loungers or on the adjacent beach. Kahana Reef is a hidden gem in West Maui because few complexes are as close to the water as ours, and can promise as well as deliver on a truly DIRECT oceanfront location with million-dollar views.
