This is a home made box I made to carry my skis in the bed of my truck to Tahoe. It is well made, weather proof, and very sturdy and secure. The frame is 2x8 and the outer shell is 1/2" plywood. All screwed, not nailed. It's got about 4 coats of paint to seal it. 1" holes are drilled on the sides for ventillation. There's a 2x8 stringer running down the middle from front to back so it supports a lot of weight on top of it. I designed it to sit on the floor of the truck bed so I could still use the bed for hauling with the box in it. Dimensions are 97" long, 48" wide. It's 8 5/8" tall in the back 72" and steps down 6 5/5" tall in the front 25". I built it this way because my truck had a tool box mounted in the bed and I needed it to fit under that box. Inside dimensions are 8' long, 8" and 6" tall and 45" wide. It is built for an 8' truck bed but can easily be adapted to fit a 6' bed by simply cutting off the front 25". I sold my truck and don't need it any more. Please call only. I WILL NOT RESPOND TO ANY EMAILS, PERIOD! Please call nine two five 550-8187.
