We had a wonderful week at your place on the river in Index. Your house is just the way I'd want it with a great living room with an awesome TV and satellite, ipod docking station and wireless for the computer. We found everything we needed in the kitchen and grilled out on the back deck a couple times during the week. The beds were very comfortable and the week was so very peaceful. The first morning, we stepped out the door to pick a bowl of blackberries for our pancakes. We took advantage of several outstanding hikes nearby including Lake Serene, Bridal Veil Falls, and Barclay Lake. It was really easy finding your place - a little over an hour from Sea Tac, and we enjoyed easy day trips to a Mariners game and to Leavenworth after driving up over the pass. I thought I was in the Alps. From the moment we arrived we felt "at home". The house was very warm & cozy feeling, with all the basic comforts of home. Being just remodeled, the did it just right. Being right on the river, near enough to hear the sounds of the rapids, just added to the atmosphere. Perfect place for the outdoors-man, or for anyone just wanting to "get away from it all". If you are thinking about checking it out, JUST DO IT, you won't regret it!!
