Offsite owners ( both musicians and artists with theater backgrounds) re-purposing one's childhood home, are seeking artists in residence who are looking to show work in town or just come and check out the scene locally for a spell. Stay for a night, a week, a month, or many months. Beautiful furnished home on a large wood privacy fenced lot with plenty of space for artistic pursuits, social interaction or peaceful retreat on the lovely grounds, (two open patios, one with a brick BBQ and one outdoor decorative brick enclosed patio + a relaxing deck atop a one story work building) Fully equipped kitchen and dinning room, High speed Wi-Fi through out house, as well as a desk top computer (with art program) provided for your use, and a comfy living room with CABLE TV, DVR and DVD player too! Also full in-house Laundry room available for your use suggested donation appreciated. The owners are providing indoor painting space with easels and rolling art supply carts for your use indoors or out. We are creating a dark room with sink, developer and enlarger for our photography enthusiasts. We are acquiring a kiln and pottery wheel for you clay slingers out there. We are developing an outdoor metal works/ sculpture, welding area and are interested in supporting any other art forms. Near 4th ave arts district and University of Arizona in a nice neighborhood with sidewalks and streetlights. Conveniently located near bus and bike routes. Tucked away one block from grocery shopping/ pharmacy/ various restaurant options, gas stations and more. Wanting open and artistically minded individuals to share a quiet, unique and secure space for varying lengths of time. The idea is that you can travel light as you wish, but actually bring whatever project you are working on (or start a new one) and have all of your creature comforts taken care of for you with out long term leases, start up deposits and studio rental costs. Welcome home artists. -YOUR RENT IS : $125 per week or $425 per month (SHARED rooms-depending on occupancy demand- up to three individuals per room in private bunks with privacy curtains, upper and lower, {bunks styled after a train sleeper bunk- your privacy in mind- each bunk with a personal light, fan and lock box}) Monthly rate breaks down to only $14 per night ! Daily rates available when occupancy permits, $25 per night for a bunk in a standard room. ONE PRIVATE ROOM AVAILABLE- with Queen bed, private dresser, large California closet with shelf space and private TV with cable. PRIVATE ROOM NIGHTLY RATE: $50 , for one occupant and $60 for two, PRIVATE ROOM WEEKLY RATE : $250 single occupant or $285 double occupancy and PRIVATE ROOM, MONTHLY RATE: $850 single occupant or $990 double occupancy. SHARED SPACE, EACH PERSON RECEIVES: - Twin bed with linens (bunks have privacy curtains, both upper and lower, as well as individual lighting for reading in bed) - Dresser space and hanging closet space - Private lock box for personal items - Use of a full kitchen - Full use of an indoor - laundry room- machines available for donation- honor box located in laundry room - Cable TV with HBO - High speed WI-FI for your devices as well as access to a provided desktop computer, if you are traveling light but need to stay connected. - Well lit artists work space indoors - Plenty of both open and semi-private outdoor relaxation areas, including a deck atop a one story work-space out-building where you can sit nightly and watch the mountains turn pink. - The back yard offers a brick patio attached to brick barbecue area for outdoor grilling - Yard space for painting /working outdoors - Larger locking storage is available for bigger equipment - Entire property is surrounded by a 7 foot wooden fence for security and privacy. - I do have ONE AVAILABLE RV SPACE with power and sewer hookup INSIDE the fenced area-accessible by a large steel reinforced car gate built in to the wooden privacy fence. We are more than happy to support sustainable living ideas such as gardens or composting, etc.. should any residents be interested in cultivating them. Will accommodate up to 8 guests inside the main house with no limit on duration of stay + 2 more beds available for stays lasting less than 2 weeks. Per two rooms of guests there is ONE FULL bathroom (Toilet, sink, shower and TUB).
